On August 6-10, 2023, the Azerbaijan Diabetes League, two doctors of the Republican Endocrinology Center (REM), Yegana Sultanova and Sariyya Aghayeva, and 5 young people diagnosed with type 1 diabetes went to the summer camp organized by JDRF in Alon Tavor, Israel at the invitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We would like to THANK the Minister of Health and his staff, Mukhtar Mammadov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Israel, Ruthie Rubin-Gross, Head of Social Programs of AS Holding and her management, Mrs. Efrat, President of JDRF in Israel, Mrs. Tamara, President of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), in charge of the summer camp, and all the volunteers there, Elad, the group leader of our Azerbaijani children, for implementing a very interesting project on behalf of our group and the parents of the children. Although ADL has been organizing summer camps for children and young people with diabetes since 2000, this was a very interesting experience. Such summer camps create friendship, experience of living with diabetes and faith in a bright future.
